In Swinderby, Lincoln, LN6, we undertook a security and networking installation for a newly moved-in couple, deploying six wired Hikvision turret cameras and a wireless access point for extended WiFi coverage. The cameras are Hikvision’s advanced smart hybrid light models, offering full-color imaging with smart lighting adaptation based on detection needs.

The camera placements provide extensive coverage across the property, including the driveway, the entrance gate to the horse yard, the barn and surrounding yard, and two field sections for the horses. Additionally, one camera was installed within the stable barn to monitor both horse stalls when they’re indoors. The external wireless access point on the barn extends WiFi access throughout the barn and across the fields, ensuring seamless connectivity for the owners.

During the installation, we faced a few challenges due to the previous network setup, which had no clear labeling, requiring us to trace data cables and replace a faulty switch in the main house. An additional switch was also installed in the barn to enable multiple network connections.
